"Run With Julius" Generates Support from New Friends

In the summer of 2019, AUCF embarked on a new awareness-building and fundraising campaign, known as Run With Julius. Committed supporters trained for and ran the Portland Half-Marathon (or participated in other events), raising money for AUCF in the process. All told the effort generated nearly $20,000 for our work in Northern Uganda!

Meanwhile, AUCF spread awareness of its work to the East Coast as we developed a partnership with leading education organization EF. Next summer Julius will speak at EF’s annual Global Leadership Summit; we kicked off this partnership with a “Talk and Run” event at EF’s headquarters in Boston, culminating in Julius running with dozens of new friends along the Charles River.
